Hibiscus country house

 Magante Yagua, República Dominicana 

It is a restored country house located a few meters from the beach. For the exterior, a color change to white with dark brown was proposed to adapt the house to the environment.

About the project 

The design is adapted to preserve the essence of the house adapting it to modern needs, in its interversion the structure of the walls was reused giving warm colors to the spaces, the ceiling was replaced by a white one and the exterior floor by wood.

For the bedroom, Benjamin Moore’s Stained glass CPS-685 shade was placed on the wood, White OC-15 on the wall, and a darker brown Satchel AF-240 shade was chosen for the beams.

The flooring of the house will have a gray microcement finish that will help keep the house cooler even in high temperatures.
